Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) 2026: Official Form, Requirements and Step-by-Step Guide

Submit your TDAC only at tdac.immigration.go.th — the only official site. Submission is completely free. Thai Immigration and the Tourist Police have publicly warned about lookalike sites that charge a fee and collect passport data; if a site asks you to pay, it is not the official one. What the TDAC is (and isn't)

The Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) replaced the old paper TM6 arrival card and has been mandatory since 1 May 2025. It's required of all non-Thai nationals entering Thailand by air, land, or sea.

The TDAC is not a visa and does not grant any right of entry. As with immigration processes generally, having a valid TDAC doesn't guarantee entry — the immigration officer at the border retains discretion to admit or refuse a traveller. It's also a separate obligation from two other things it sometimes gets confused with:

• TM30 — the notification your hotel or landlord is responsible for filing about a foreign guest's stay. Completing your TDAC doesn't fulfil this, and it isn't something you file yourself as a traveller.
• 90-day reporting — an ongoing obligation for foreigners on longer stays to report their address to Immigration periodically. It has nothing to do with your arrival. Who must submit — and who's exempt

Nearly everyone. The TDAC applies to visa-exempt tourists, and to holders of an LTR visa, a Thailand Privilege visa, a Non-B visa, or a DTV — including children and infants. There's no visa category that skips it.

The only exemptions are:

• Transit or transfer passengers who don't pass through Thai immigration control
• Border Pass holders

If you're travelling on a long-stay visa and re-entering Thailand for any reason — including a short visa run — you need a fresh TDAC for that entry. It doesn't carry over from a previous trip. When to submit

Submit your TDAC within the 3 days before your arrival date. The official manual states that foreigners submit their arrival card information 3 days in advance of the arrival date. Because a new TDAC is required for every entry, this window applies fresh each time you travel — it doesn't carry over or accumulate across trips.

What you need before you start

Have these ready before you open the form:

• Your passport
• Personal information (matching your passport)
• Travel information for this trip
• Your accommodation in Thailand for at least your first night
• Information for a health declaration

All fields on the form must be entered in English.

Step-by-step: submitting your TDAC

1. Go to tdac.immigration.go.th — bookmark it now so you don't end up on a search-engine ad for a fake copy later.
2. Start your submission within the 3 days before you arrive.
3. Enter your passport details — the form lets you scan your passport's machine-readable zone (MRZ), or upload an MRZ image, to fill these fields automatically. The official manual advises re-checking the data every time you use MRZ retrieval.
4. Enter your personal information.
5. Enter your travel information.
6. Enter your accommodation details in Thailand.
7. Complete the health declaration.
8. Submit. It's free — you should never be asked to pay.
9. Save or screenshot your confirmation before you travel.

Travelling as a group? A single submission covers up to 10 travellers, so families and small groups don't need to repeat the whole process per person.

After you submit

• Download the TDAC, or print a copy from your confirmation email.
• Keep it available for the duration of your stay in Thailand.
• Present it to the immigration officer on arrival.

Fixing a mistake after you've submitted

Three fields are locked once submitted and cannot be edited: your full name, nationality, and date of birth. If any of those is wrong, there's no correction path — you have to submit a new TDAC.

For anything else, use the site's "Update Arrival Card" option. You'll need your TDAC number plus your date of birth and nationality to access it.

Avoiding scam sites

The only official TDAC site is tdac.immigration.go.th. Thai Immigration and the Tourist Police have both publicly warned about fake sites that mimic it, charge a fee for what's meant to be free, and harvest the passport data you enter.
