How this is calculated
This is the reverse of the Income Tax Calculator’s math. Since Thai tax brackets are progressive, there’s no direct formula from net to gross — instead, the tool repeatedly narrows in on a gross salary, checking the resulting take-home pay each time, until it converges on your target.

Frequently asked questions
Why isn't this a simple formula?
Thai income tax is progressive — the rate on each additional baht depends on how much you already earn. There's no single multiplier to reverse it, so this tool searches numerically for the gross salary that produces your target take-home pay.
What tax year does this use?
The 2026 personal income tax brackets and standard allowances, same as the Income Tax Calculator.
Does it account for optional deductions like insurance or RMF/TESG?
No — this quick version only considers salary, spouse, and children. Adding those deductions would mean a lower gross salary is needed for the same take-home pay.
