Frequently asked questions

Does severance apply to every termination?

No — statutory severance generally applies when an employer terminates an employee without cause. It typically doesn't apply to resignations, or terminations for serious misconduct as defined by law.

Is this the same as notice pay?

No — severance pay and pay in lieu of notice are separate entitlements under Thai labor law. This calculator covers severance only.
